A career in Medical affairs is fast emerging as a popular choice for students with advanced degrees in science, pharmacy and medicine. In this post I will highlight certain skills which students pick up during their graduate school days and which are extremely useful in medical affairs roles. 1. They had an idea and they gathered evidence by doing experiments and now they are trying to sell their idea in front of scientists who are experts in that area. A medical affairs professional is trying to do a similar thing. Hello Readers, I welcome all of you to my new blog MedView. I had been an avid blogger in my medical school days when I blogged about cricket, motorcycles, movies and a variety of other topics. I took a hiatus from blogging for the past 9 years. I am back with my new blog "MedView" after this long break. My four main passions in life have been medical pharmacology and research, travelling, teaching (especially medical pharmacology) and presenting and discussing new drug therapies and research at medical conferences and events. I have been lucky to be in the field of medical affairs in the pharmaceutical industry which gives me the chance to follow my passion and at the same time earn a living. The major aim of starting this blog is to share my experiences with other budding physicians/scientists who want to make a career in medical affairs in the pharmaceutical industry. I embarked on the road less traveled when I took the unconventional decision of ...
